2. Individualised Care

At The Pelvic Health Physio, all treatment is based on a comprehensive clinical assessment.

Recommendations provided during consultations are tailored specifically to you and may differ from general information shared online or in classes.

3. Participation in Physiotherapy & Exercise

Physiotherapy and exercise-based rehabilitation are highly beneficial, however:

  • Participation involves some level of inherent risk

  • Outcomes cannot be guaranteed

  • Progress may vary depending on individual factors

By participating in treatment or classes, you acknowledge these risks and agree to engage in a way that feels safe and appropriate for your body.

This may include:

  • Discussion of your medical history and symptoms

  • Physical assessment and movement-based evaluation

  • Exercise prescription and rehabilitation strategies

  • Education and lifestyle guidance

Your physiotherapist will always explain assessment and treatment processes clearly and provide the opportunity for questions.

5. Consent for Internal Pelvic Examination

Some pelvic health assessments may involve an internal vaginal or rectal examination.

We recognise this is a sensitive and personal component of care.

  • Explicit, informed consent will always be obtained prior to any internal examination

  • You have the right to decline or withdraw consent at any time

  • You may request a support person to be present

  • Alternative assessment options will always be discussed where appropriate

Your comfort, dignity, and autonomy are always prioritised.

6. Telehealth Services

Where appropriate, consultations may be provided via Telehealth. This is an important part of our model of care to continue to support our community remotely where possible.

Please note:

  • Telehealth may have limitations compared to in-person assessment
